Players Code of Conduct
As a player in the Lumsden Minor Ball Association, I understand that I am expected to abide by the Player's Code of Conduct outlined below:
I will respect the game, my teammates, coaches, opponents, fans and the umpires.
I will never argue with my coaches' decisions.
I will never fault others when mistakes occur.
I will always be in control of my temper.
I understand that swearing, throwing equipment or any other actions that distract from the game are considered unsportsmanlike behavior and I will not take part in such actions.
I will work HARD FOR MYSELF and MY TEAM.
I will take pride in myself and how I behave on the ball field.
I will strive to be on time and prepared for games and practices.
I will always have a positive attitude.
I will avoid bullying, harassment or intimidation of any kind, including online or social media interactions
I understand that if I do not abide by the Code of Conduct the following may occur:
I may be asked to leave the game/practice and/or the ballpark.
If I continue to not abide by the Code of Conduct,
I will be benched for a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of three (3) games at the coach's discretion and my actions will be reported to the LMBA board to be dealt with further.
Parents Code of Conduct
As a parent of a child playing for the Cubs in the Lumsden Minor Ball Association, I agree to and will comply with the Parents Code of Conduct outlined below:
I will always encourage my child to play by the rules.
I will always encourage my child to respect the coaches and umpires' decisions.
I will respect all players, coaches, fans and officials
I will not coach from the sidelines.
I will always address any questions or concerns to the coaching staff at the appropriate time, defined as the
day after games or practices (24 hr rule) and always away from other parents or players
I will not make negative comments directed at the players, coaches or umpires.
I will always be positive and encouraging.
I will avoid bullying, harassment or intimidation of any kind, including online or social media interactions
I understand that the goals of LMB are to promote the concepts of teamwork, cooperation, friendship, sportsmanship, fair play and the development of physical, mental and game skills through the sport of softball.
I understand that I will be held accountable for my guests.
I understand that if I do not abide by this Parents Code of Conduct the following may occur:
I may be asked to leave the ballpark.
If asked and I fail to leave the park, my child will be benched for the game.
If I continue to not abide by the Parents Code of Conduct that my child will be benched for a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of three (3) games at the coach's discretion and my actions will be reported to the LMBA board for further discussion and action.
